Seriously, she has some cold water issues with her thin coat, but man, she's somethin else. Perfect for me where I may go from water to upland in the same day and coon huntin that night. Actually I don't coon hunt, but if I did, She'd do it too Laughing Laughing Laughing .

Hey! going after that new award already I see. Laughing Laughing OK, it was a silly question. But some people don't hunt their weims. I know several guys who hunt everything and have a dog that is not used as a hunting dog. That wouldn't exclude it from this forum.

Oh my gosh he's so cute. He looks like a choc. lab with a beard. I've heard they make great hunting dogs. I have a friend who has a "pointapoo." That's what she calls it. They're all unique

Thats suweeet! Thats the first poodlepointer I've ever seen. I'd have thought you could have shaved him up for the pic. though. Laughing Laughing I've heard alot of good stuff about your breed too. I always like seeing diversity in the hunting dog world. It's like I always say, complexity can be the spice of life. I love'em all. Labs are super, but I enjoy seeing something different once in a while.
Gladd to see you here pudlepointerfan.

I completely agree that the PP (pudelpointer) is a very expensive dog. I first discovered the breed 6 years ago and was very intrigued, but like Cmatt, put off by the price. Three promotions later and the price tag became more realistic. For my money I got a pup whose lineage is only hunting dogs, the PP has never been shown and is not recognized by the AKC, a one year unconditional return policy, unlimited training advice from my breeder, and entrance into a unique fraternity of dog owners. When I find myself at a training roadblock I simply call my breeder,or one of the people on his references list. On top of the fringe benefits I now own an incredible dog that pointed and tracked winged Sharp tails @ 5 mos old, pointed and retrieved cock pheasants @ 6 mos old, and retrieved his first duck @ 7 mos of age. I did not expect to get these results with my first hunting dog.

PS--I really appreciate that no one called Gunnr a labradoodle or goldendoodle or for that matter even inferred the same.

This is buck he is 4 yrs great on pheasants won 2 upland challenges and is a great retriver for geese. He has a problem when ducks dive he gives up too quik.

Then this is sammy he died last year on 4th of july got hit by a car. He was a lab and a pointer mix. Im not sure who the father was. But he was bein abused as I drove by a house at 12wks old. I stopped the car and took the broom he was gettin hit with chased the man back in his house and took the dog. He was the best all around huntin dog I ever seen. First time out he pointed 6 times on pheasants.
