Dang nice haul man! I wish we still had enough wild birds to hunt here in MO. Here you could cover 40 square miles on foot and never see 41 quail let alone kill that many.

we realese em, we let about 100 go every year and only shoot once a year. these sat 2 weeks before we shot em. the neighbors did good last year they shot 45 in there place and we shot about 50. and only realsed about 40. I yelled at em dont shoot them were tryin to bring em back. the guy said hes been seein big groups so they are surviving some how. but know a spot along railroad tracks wher you can shoot 50 wild ones no problem. we alwys see em out in the trees on the tracks but they dont cross the fence onto the place we pheasant hunt.

Oh I see...your a cheater, lol. Yeah I have to release all my hunting quarry as well. Thats actually why I started raising gamebirds. The first year went so well I got cocky and thought well, I might as well raise enough to restock the countryside here. Too bad things don't always go according to plan, lol. Ever since the first two years I have had terrible luck raising quail, chuckars and pheasants in large enough numbers to do much propogation, at least on the scale that I had intended. I "lose" about 2-300 quail per year that I have to try to "recover" but I intended to be "losing" like 1000 or so. I usually have around 200 Pheasants and chuckars "accidentally" get loose too, lol. The little suckers are kinda expensive to just let go to the predators though. I have big plans again for next year though so we'll see how things go. :D
